Nexwell Power strengthens its commitment to an inclusive energy transition in Extremadura

The Nexwell Power Social Fund finances photovoltaic technical training in Badajoz. The company operates eight solar PV plants across the province.

London, United Kingdom, October 30, 2025 — Nexwell Power, an institutional-grade investment platform within the Nexwell Group dedicated to accelerating the energy transition, is firmly committed to inclusive sustainability, supporting the training of unemployed individuals to help them enter the renewable energy workforce.

The Nexwell Power Social Fund has financed training courses in Extremadura aimed at equipping unemployed people with the technical skills needed to meet the strong demand for installation and maintenance professionals in the solar photovoltaic sector.

Upon completing the courses — free of charge for participants — students receive certifications enabling them to work in construction, working at heights, and metal carpentry, turning them into qualified candidates for solar module assembly and non-electrical maintenance roles.

In addition, the Nexwell Power Social Fund has donated a self-consumption solar installation to Cáritas Employment Center in Badajoz. The system allows the center to reduce its electricity bill by 40% every year, freeing up additional funds for social initiatives that create new employment opportunities across the region. The facility also provides a hands-on training environment for students enrolled in the photovoltaic courses, who can complete their internships at the center using a real-world installation.

These initiatives were recognized at the VIII Cáritas Mérida-Badajoz Business Meeting, held on October 16. The event gathered more than 80 companies and partner organizations to discuss the role of corporate social responsibility as a driver of social transformation.

During the event, Raquel Muñoz García, ESG Director at Nexwell Power, participated in a panel discussion where she shared best practices and reflections on corporate responsibility. She emphasized the importance of social commitment within organizations, stating: "There are no companies with a heart without employees".

The initiatives financed by the Nexwell Power Social Fund, together with the eight photovoltaic plants built by the company in Badajoz province, make a significant contribution to the region’s economic development and environmental progress.

These clean energy generation plants have a total installed capacity of 62.5 MW and are located in Hornachos, Olivenza, Corte de Peleas, Badajoz, and Mérida. Collectively, they avoid the emission of 58,120 tons of CO₂ into the atmosphere each year and supply enough renewable electricity to power 41,500 local homes.
