Our journey
Ahead of the market, we structured and delivered 20-year PPAs at a time when the industry standard was closer to 10 years—laying the foundation for long-term value creation and bankability.
Acquired and began development of a 619 MW prime solar portfolio in Iberia, securing long-term contracted capacity and establishing a strong platform for growth.
Anticipating grid congestion, we pioneered advanced software solutions enabling Super Fast Response Programs (SRAP), allowing our assets to operate efficiently where others faced curtailment.
Executed a multi-asset divestment to China Three Gorges (CTG), validating our asset quality and technical standards. Leveraged reactive power capabilities to participate in secondary regulation markets.
Became first to market in delivering System Response Activation Time (SRAT) services and participating in secondary regulation markets using PV-only technology—demonstrating the evolving role of solar in grid stability.
Achieved commercial operation across multiple utility-scale PV plants in Europe. Expanded our offering to deploy flexibility solutions that mitigate grid instability and power price volatility.

Nexwell Power is led by a multidisciplinary team with experience across the renewable energy industry: greenfield PV and BESS development, permitting, construction & engineering, infrastructure investment, M&A sourcing, energy and project contracting, risk management, energy marketing, data analytics and software integration, operations & maintenance, and project financing.
Our leadership team
As co-founder and executive director of Nexwell, Andreas is involved in supporting the growth and execution at Nexwell Power. Andreas spent the last 20 years in the power industry, leading his latest renewable platform, Sonnedix, on a 10 year 100% CAGR growth trajectory. Andreas grew that company from a startup to a world class institutional platform spanning 5 continents and ranking in the top 10 solar independent solar power producers in almost every market where the company operated. During his tenure he was responsible for the acquisition, development, staffing, implementation and conversion of over 200 solar projects (1700 MW). Prior to Sonnedix, Andreas held executive positions at AES Solar, Sithe Asia and Sithe Energies. Andreas has a bachelors degree in civil and environmental engineering from Cornell University.

As a CEO of Nexwell Power, Jorge is responsible for the day to day growth and execution at Nexwell Power. Jorge spent the last 16 years in the renewable power industry. After spending several years at Uría Menéndez Abogados in Madrid as part of the Energy & Project Finance team, Jorge continued his career at SunEdison assuming different senior management positions across all the project cycle in different jurisdictions. Jorge left SunEdison as VP within the Global Operations division with approximately 8GWs of projects under management. More recently, Jorge has been acting as advisor to the board of certain investment groups mainly for opportunities in Mexico, Italy and Portugal. Jorge has a law degree from Alcalá de Henares University (Madrid) and ranked first with honors in the LLM program for Business Law by Instituto the Empresa.

As a COO, Miguel is responsible for running the day to day operations of the company towards an efficient and timely execution of its goals as well as for the commercial and growth initiatives of the company. Miguel spent the last ten years in the renewable energy industry, holding different senior management roles, first at other startup ventures and subsequently at SunEdison. There, Miguel was responsible for structuring approximately $2.5 billion of capital used in the development, construction and M&A of over 1GW of solar PV projects across EMEA and Latin America. Prior to SunEdison, Miguel spent 7 years in the investment banking and private equity industries in New York and Madrid. Miguel has a bachelors degree in economics with concentration in finance from The Wharton School and an MBA from INSEAD.

As Chief Finance Officer of Nexwell, Dmitri is responsible for the strategic and tactical operation of Nexwell Group’s finance departments across the world. A tenured CFO of operational and AIM London Stock Exchange and Toronto Stock Exchange listed energy transition, power generation and energy sector companies, Dmitri leverages his international debt, equity fund raising, project finance, IPO, M&A and auditing experience to lead capital intensive projects in highly complex and volatile environments. A Chartered and Certified Accountant, Dmitri holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

As Head of Engineering and Construction of Nexwell Power, Fernando oversees the technical design and optimization of power and storage plants, and the construction of assets on time, quality and budget. Fernando started his experience in renewable energies 20+ years ago in Vestas Wind Systems, and has hold different roles, always related to engineering, construction and operation of renewable assets in companies ranging from IPPs (Etrion) to utilities (AES South America) and OEMs (SunPower, Nextracker), in different countries in Europe, Latin America and Asia. Fernando holds a MSc in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Valladolid.

As Head of ESG, Raquel is responsible for designing, recommending, and implementing a new ESG program for Nexwell Power based on high level policies and general direction adopted by the Board of Directors of Nexwell Group. Raquel holds more than 17 years´ experience as general counsel for different multinationals in the field of renewable energy (9ren, Sunedison, Uriel Renovables) in different geographies (EMEA, Latam) and is a Corporate Social Responsibility expert. Raquel holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICAI-ICADE) and several advanced programs on Sustainability (ESADE, IE Business School, Harvard Business School). She has also taught Private Law at Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE Law School.

As Head of Legal of Nexwell Power, Jorge is responsible for the managing of all legal matters of the company, providing guidance on corporate governance, negotiating and drafting contracts, risk management, and the development of plans and policies. Before joining Nexwell, Jorge worked for more than 10 years as an associate lawyer at the Public Law and Energy Department of Baker McKenzie’s Madrid office, providing legal advice to Spanish and foreign corporate clients in the public law, regulatory and energy fields. Jorge holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Universidad CEU San Pablo and a Master’s Degree on Company Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas de Madrid (ICADE).

As Financial Controller, María is responsible for the accounting, financial reporting and project day to day coordination for Nexwell Power. Prior to joining Nexwell Power, Maria worked for 6 years at Jenner Renewables and JREL Chile (a Denham Power portfolio company) as finance manager providing administrative, accounting and general support for the company’s Chilean PV plants portfolio and, immediately before that, she worked as an auditor for PwC Spain. María holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE) and an MBA from Instituto de Empresa.

As the Head of Business Development and M&A, Lucas plays a vital role in entering new markets, which significantly contributes to the company's growth and strategy. With 20 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, he has held management positions at leading clean energy companies, including Enfinity Global, Alpiq, Global Power Generation (Naturgy Group international’s subsidiary) and SunEdison, among others. Lucas Marqués earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's degree in Energy for Sustainable Development and Energy Efficiency.

As Energy Markets and Commercialization Director, Jorge plays a vital role in driving Nexwell Power new strategy of delivering enhanced capacity solutions to final customers and landing into new markets. With 10 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, he has worked for leading clean energy companies, including Acciona Energia, Canadia Solar and Recurrent, among others. Jorge Ibañez earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's degree from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

As Head of Structured Finance, Miguel plays a vital role in the structuring both at asset and at capital level, which significantly contributes to the company's growth and strategy. With more than 16 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, he has held management positions at leading banks/financial institutions, including Zintra Capital (as Fund Manager for Alameda Energy Fund),BBVA,Scotiabank and Santander. Miguel del Río earned a degree in Business Administration in Cunef.

As Head of Asset Management, Jaime will lead the strategic and optimization of our asset portfolio, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with Nexwell Power growth objectives. Jaime has over eight years of experience in the renewable energy sector and more than 25 years in positions of responsibility. Throughout his career, he has held decision-making roles in companies such as Vodafone, Ferrovial, Comsa, Supersol, Solaria, and Voltalia. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the Carlos III University of Madrid.
