Nexwell Power starts the construction of its 6MWp fourth solar plant in Andalusia
The project will be located in Palma del Condado, Huelva, and it will prevent over 5,200 tons of CO2 emissions in its first year
LONDON, U.K. April 2024. Nexwell Power, one of the Nexwell Group’s institutional-grade platforms focused on accelerating the energy transition, announces the start of the construction of its Palma del Condado 6 MW solar power plant located in Huelva, Andalusia.
The project form part of the Iberia Solar II Portfolio which consists of seven projects with a total power installed capacity of 46MW located in Badajoz and Andalusia. Palma del Condado project beside Carmona (13MW) and Guarromán (6,6MW), are the projects of this portfolio placed in Andalusia in addition to Cantillana, a 6,3MW plant from a previous portfolio, which began supplying electricity to the grid last February.
The construction of the whole cluster is led by Osmos Sistemas Eléctricos, leader in global electrical services in Spain in a joint venture with Vázquez y Reino and is financed by Rabobank. The new plant will produce clean energy to satisfy consumption of 3,700 households.
The Palma del Condado project is foreseen to prevent over 5,200 metric tons of CO2 emissions in its first year of operation alone. This achievement aligns with Nexwell Power’s broader strategy of accelerating the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere.
