Nexwell Power starts the construction of its 13MWp second solar plant in Andalusia
It will be located in Carmona, Seville and the avoidance of CO2 emissions from the project is expected to exceed 11,300 tons in its first full year of operation
LONDON, U.K. January 2024. Nexwell Power, one of the Nexwell Group’s institutional-grade platforms focused on accelerating the energy transition, announces the start of the construction of its Carmona 13MWp solar power plant located in Andalusia, Spain.
In addition to Cantillana project, this is the second project located in the province of Seville and counts with all the environmental permits from the Andalusia authorities. The construction will be led by Osmos Sistemas Eléctricos leader in global electrical services in Spain in a joint venture with Vázquez y Reino. The new plant will produce clean energy to satisfy consumption of 8,000 households.
The project forms part of the Iberia Solar II Portfolio of 46MWp, financed by Rabobank for a total amount of €37 million for the portfolio of seven new plants located in Badajoz and Andalusia.
Accelerating innovative low-cost renewable solutions is a key activity within Nexwell Power’s strategy to reduce CO2 emissions, contribute to improving the environment and defend biodiversity while providing long-term clean and safe energy. Avoided CO2 emissions from the Carmona project is projected to exceed 11,300 metric tons in its first full year of operation.
