Nexwell Power secures the first in a series of permits to hybridize a 1GWh battery portfolio with solar power, the first step in delivering flexible power solutions
This battery installation, withmore than 100 MWh of capacity, will make the Silverio photovoltaic plant thefirst hybrid plant authorized in the province and will strengthen NexwellPower's commitment to offering its customers tailored, reliable and competitiverenewable energy solutions.
Nexwell Power has obtained the Administrative Construction Authorization (AAC) to incorporate a battery energy storagesystem (BESS) into its Silverio photovoltaic plant, in the province of Córdoba.This is the first solar installation in the province authorized to behybridized with batteries, a milestone that strengthens Cordoba’s and Andalusia'srole in Spain's energy transition.
The new storage module, with acapacity exceeding 100 MWh, is expected to connect to the grid during the firsthalf of 2027. It is the first of a series of storage projects that NexwellPower is rolling out across its asset portfolio, with a combined capacity ofnearly 1 GWh in this first phase.
The combination of renewablegeneration, storage and smart asset management will allow Nexwell Power toexpand its energy trading capacity across a 24h time range, offering itscustomers more flexible energy solutions tailored to their consumption profile.

Beyond itsvalue for customers, the hybridization of Silverio is part of NexwellPower's broader goal of accelerating the decarbonization of the global economy.Combining BESS with photovoltaic plants allowsclean, low cost, daytime solar power to supply demand at night when moreexpensive fossil fueled resources would otherwise be required, while alsoproviding the flexibility the electricity system needs to remain stable.
