Nexwell Power promotes the training of a hundred young people in installation of photovoltaic plants with the Red Cross Employment Plan in Andalusia

The training is the result of an alliance of Nexwell Power and Red Cross to promote green jobs among the most vulnerable population

LONDON, U.K. November 2024. Nexwell Power in collaboration with Red Cross will train a hundred people in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic panels with the support of the company Nexwell Power, a leading company in this sector. This is a commitment to “green employment” promoted by the Nexwell Power Social Fund and the Employment Area of the Red Cross in Andalusia, which will benefit people in vulnerable situations.

The participating students will be trained in a sector with job opportunities, but also perform a complete socio-labor itinerary that includes job orientation activities, support and monitoring by the Red Cross.

The first of the courses, with 19 participants, was held in Carmona (Seville), where Nexwell Power is building a solar plant that will produce clean energy equivalent to the annual consumption of 8,000 homes. The Red Cross launched two other courses at the beginning of November, in the town of Bailén (Jaén) (which would be linked to the 6.63MW photovoltaic plant in Baños de la Encina) and in Moraleda de Zafayona (Granada), taking advantage of the fact that the energy company will develop photovoltaic projects in the area.

The students who participate in the courses have the opportunity to learn about real employment environments and meetings with the Nexwell Power team, in which the reality of the renewable energy sector is explained. A fourth call is planned for the province of Huelva at the end of the year.

The courses are part of the Nexwell Power Social Fund and its social and environmental commitment to the localities in which it operates and the Red Cross Employment Plan, with which the humanitarian organization promotes work itineraries to improve the skills of people with more problems of access to the labor market, such as young people, women victims of gender violence, people over 45 years of age or migrants. To this end, it collaborates with the local business network in sectors with more job opportunities. The initiative is also aligned with the Red Cross commitment to the environment.
