Nexwell Power Energizes 13MW of its Carmona Plant
The clean energy generated by the plant is equivalent to the annual consumption of 8,000 households and will prevent the emission of more than 11,300 tons of CO2 per year

Nexwell Power announces the energization of its Carmona (13MW) solar power project located in Carmona, Spain.
With the interconnection of the 13MW plant, the company energizes the fourth plant of the Iberia Solar II portfolio, consisting of seven projects with a total capacity of 46MW located in Extremadura and Andalusia.
Avoided CO2 emissions from the Carmona project is projected to exceed 11,300 metric tons in its first full year of operation. This achievement aligns with Nexwell Power’s broader strategy of accelerating the reduction of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere in more than 1 billion tons.
The construction of the plant led to the creation of 70 jobs at the peak of the construction period while the electricity produced should be enough to serve the needs of more than 8,000 households.
The project has enhanced local biodiversity through several measures: three artificial cairns, a perimeter of olive trees with an ongoing maintenance plan, and two 80-liter watering stations integrated into the natural surroundings.
In addition, and as part of its social commitment to the communities in which it operates, the Company has financed training in the installation and maintenance of photovoltaic plants for 25 young people in the Carmona area of influence, in collaboration with the Red Cross Employment Plan in Andalusia. The Company also carries out this training in Andalusian municipalities in the provinces of Huelva, Jaén and Granada where it has or plans to carry out photovoltaic developments.
