Nexwell Power completes construction of 20MW solar power PV plants in Extremadura, Spain
The three new plants are located in Badajoz, Corte de Peleas and Merida, with more than 6MW each
LONDON, U.K. July 2024. Nexwell Power announced today that it has completed construction and commissioning of its Badajoz, Corte de Peleas and Merida projects, a 20 MW Solar Power PV cluster located in Badajoz, Spain.
Osmos Sistemas Electricos in a joint venture with Vázquez y Reino provided the procurement and construction works under an EPC agreement, with project financing provided by Rabobank.
The three plants are part of the Iberia Solar II Portfolio which consists of seven projects with a total installed capacity of 46 MW and that will be located in Andalusia and Extremadura.
Accelerating innovative low-cost renewable solutions is central to Nexwell Power’s core strategy to displace and reduce CO2 levels while delivering clean, reliable long-term energy to its customers.
Avoided CO2 emissions for the Badajoz, Corte de Peleas and Merida plants are projected to exceed 16,500 metric tons in the first full year of operation.
