Nexwell Power Accelerates Growth in Spain with the acquisition of a 248 MW Solar Portfolio from Q ENERGY

Seven large-scale plants strategically located in Andalusia and Aragon will benefit local communities directly. The new solar assets will generate power equivalent to the electricity demand of 142,500 households and avoid 200,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually.

London, U.K., 18th June 2025 — Nexwell Power, a Nexwell institutional-grade platform dedicated to accelerating the energy transition, has expanded its energy portfolio by acquiring over 248 MWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) plants. These assets were purchased from Q ENERGY, an affiliate of Hanwha Group headquartered in Berlin and a leader in the renewable energy market for over 25 years.

The new portfolio comprises seven solar power plants across the Spanish regions of Andalusia and Aragon. Four of the projects are under construction and are expected to become operational in early 2026. These include the 72 MWp “Andújar” projects located in Andújar (Jaén), the 26 MWp “Silverio” plant in Guadalcázar (Córdoba), and the 45 MWp “Mudéjar” project located near Samper de Calanda and Híjar (Teruel).

The remaining three projects- “Peñaflor 1,” “Peñaflor 2” and “Peñaflor 3,” in Zaragoza, all, in an advance development phase, will add 105 MWp to the portfolio.

Together, the seven photovoltaic plants are expected to produce a total of 500 GWh of clean energy annually, equivalent to the electricity demand of 142,500 households. In addition, the portfolio will avoid 200,00 tons of CO2 emissions per year, otherwise produced by conventional power generation sources.

Mr. Miguel Muñoz, COO of Nexwell Power, stated: “This acquisition marks a key step in Nexwell Power’s evolution into a next-generation renewable energy producer.” Mr. Muñoz also added: “It reinforces our commitment to net-zero targets through cutting-edge solar PV and high-capacity hybrid systems. With this investment, we’re deepening our footprint in Aragon—a fast-emerging hub for large-scale tech and data centers—by delivering customized energy solutions, as reflected in our recent PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements) with a leading US technology company.”

This leading-edge initiative not only protects the climate but also supports the social and environmental needs of the local communities where the plants are located, including job creation, and fostering regional economic development.

This strategic acquisition reinforces Nexwell Power’s position in the renewable energy market and strengthens its commitment to accelerating the energy transition and decarbonization through next-generation power assets that hybridize top-efficiency PV technology and utility-scale batteries to produce enhanced capacity solutions.
