MUDEJAR
Flora
We promote sustainable land management through the installation of vegetative screens, maintenance of grass and legumes beneath solar panels, and traditional fallow practices. Herbicide use is prohibited, while sowing of legumes, oilseeds, and protein crops with untreated seeds is encouraged, especially in winter, with harvests delayed until June 30. Additional measures include nighttime restrictions on mechanized work, buffer strips free of agricultural activity, pesticide‑free management, and controlled grazing. Seed use is increased by 25%, with minimum sowing rates for wheat and barley set at 200 kg/ha, while tall‑stem crops are limited to 10% of the surface. Agreements with landowners further support agro‑environmental and livestock measures, reinforcing our commitment to biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
Fauna
We protect biodiversity with ten nest boxes for barn and little owls, seven perches, and two nesting towers for lesser kestrels, complemented by facilities that foster kestrel breeding colonies through the hacking technique. Harvesting is delayed in plots affected by harrier nests to safeguard their reproduction. Amphibians benefit from two ponds designed for short‑cycle species, while insects and pollinators thrive with eight shelters dedicated to invertebrate breeding.
