Flora

We promote sustainability through agro‑environmental measures such as maintaining cereal crops, collaborating with official programs, fallowing unoccupied areas to encourage natural pasture, and purchasing harvests from plots where protected species nest. Pollinator habitats are enhanced with aromatic plantings of sage, rosemary, oregano, and coriander near shelters. In partnership with the University of Jaén, we develop research projects on biodiversity and soil evolution, complemented by information campaigns, environmental education, citizen participation, and volunteer initiatives. Habitat and flora management includes creating multifunctional margins, a 3‑meter border without agricultural activity, and maintaining 12,000 m² of cereal crops.

Fauna

We strengthen biodiversity with fourteen nest boxes for barn owls, tawny owls, kestrels, and European rollers, plus forty more along the evacuation line for raptors, and ten perches. Agreements with local landowners promote agricultural practices that benefit steppe birds. Insects and pollinators are supported with ten shelters and three ponds, while a 5‑hectare agro‑environmental reserve includes a pond, traditional fallow, and 10,500 m² of natural pasture. Amphibians and reptiles benefit from twenty mounds along the perimeter and enhanced vegetation through sowing ryegrass, grasses, and legumes.
